Now that santa finally delivered my present (s) i thought i would start another project thread which will run for some time i guess, but will now begin to move at least a bit faster. I am gonna start with the new box of goodies and work backwards, no real reason other than to get up Jubby's nose haha - so - do you see what i see ??    |

In the beginning i bought this RGV from Melbourne, a 1990 VJ22 - came with a running VJ21 engine, GSXR 600 fairings, K6 i think and one spare VJ22 Engine, lovingly painted in black and yellow to match the painted black and yellow fairings, frame, swing arm etc so lets get this straight - i guarantee there will be no such black and yellow combination on the finished article.     upload imagesSince its arrival i have steadily been amassing product to begin the project, so far from Memory :- Pistons & Rings - 2 sets Aprilia RS250 heads Aprilia RS250 shock Zeeltronic ECU / controller - (currently helping Jubby 1:12sec laps at Lakeside) Tyga expansion pipes 1 x set VJ21 carbs - the VJ22 are on the bike at the moment. Gasket sets Aprilia RS 250 ECU 1 spare set of wheels 1 x VJ22 engine (total now 2) 1 set of race fairings - (need a seat to fit) 1 pair VHM heads and squish bands 1 pair smaller (thinner) base gaskets - changes port timing slightly 2 pair exhaust gaskets. 1 x pair Bridgestone BT10 tyres. 1 x engine work stand. still need plenty like suspension upgrade - will keep posting. |

Yeah build might be the way to go, I figured if I can make it a 2 or 3 parts unit I might be able to take it to track days too, will come in handy for Jubbys piston pulls between sessions hsha |

Don't forget to add eye-bolts to the corners for tie-downs. Saw too many episodes of American Chopper where the bike fell from the stand when nobody was around. Ouch! |
