Fun Ride today -
I opened 2 x 1 in dia air ports in my airbox while cleaning the K&N. The exhaust baffle goes next. It has a very obvious intake sound and a bit more bite.
Rode her up Ortega Highway so I could try out the new riding gear and shake out all the rebuild bugs (Shifter apparently requires a spacer that they failed to supply - visit the wholesale hardware who has everything.. So the second half had some bits of sloppy shifts here and there. But still a very good run. Perfect weather, few cars and those were willing to allow me to pass.. Ill have measurements and will visit my hardware wholesaler. Place has everything.

Second road shake down for th 8! All great mechanically. Identied a buzzing coming front the damper. I removed one spacer and it was back on track.
A couple cosmetics and it is full road hungry.

Ran the 8 to the ragged edge today. god damnit, it was a perfect ride. Nearly had an endorphin and dopamine overdose (was to hot into a decreasing radius) perfect weather.
Met some nice folks. I sat around and bullshitted with some real old school bike gents. One had a 23 Indian (must be nearly 90 years old. Another has an a Kaw H1 triple 2t - WIDOW MAKER (He is 81 yrs old and rides it at least once a month) BASASS
Another character has Electric bike. He was able to make it to the look out to charge. FUCKING THING IS LIGHT SWITCH FAST. We laughed at the same time when he mentioned his SUZ waterbuffalo "Coultnd handle for sit!!! No one could make them handle) That dude is prob 85 yrs.
It was really fun to get to know them a bit.
An AMAZING 1952 Triumph roadracer was parked along a wall. Original number plates with all tech interception decals in place. Safety wired expertly, clean and ran strong up until 100 mph and I lost him for the remainder of the ride.
On the back site of the number plate he had a piece of duct tape with:
Grid: Position noted Row: Noted (Outside left) some random shite to the effect, Monitor Lap Average: 1:32.888 to 1.33.000 Met a very appealing girl (with her parents - All have own bikes) she has her own yellow Duc Scrambler. We were talkng and she mentioned changing bars. She tried my bike, likes them, wanted a touch lower. Viola! Renthal Road Lows - Gold - Still in the bag in my garage. I told her to call is she want them and I will be happy to help her learn to do these mods. A very cute early 30's woman. Hmmmm
