Had enough of the Metzler M7RR and ordered a set Dunlop Q3 Plus today. Just FYI there is a recall on some Q3 plus tires.

Had enough of the Metzler M7RR and ordered a set Dunlop Q3 Plus today. Just FYI there is a recall on some Q3 plus tires. Guess i write Revzilla, but i think they know this already. Metzeler probably should have one too, after a bit research.... seems like i am not the only one with sliding and spongy probs. As soon i go under 35.5 front and 40 rear the bike feels like shit. Push her a bit harder towards the edge of the tire on a warm day and front + rear sliding party starts. The M5(front) and Z8(rear) combo i had before never did this once.......

Hello,
Dunlop has informed us about a recall of select 120/70ZR17 (58W) Sportmax Q3+ tires, so your recent purchase of this tire might be affected. Please note that this is highly unlikely, as only 6 total problematic tires were shipped to customers nationwide from all retailers.
Attached to this email is a PDF of the official release from Dunlop, which contains all of the details for this recall. For your convenience, the main points have been pulled out and are bulleted below: • The tire is being recalled due to air pockets that may have formed during the tires’ curing process. • Only 120/70ZR17 Sportmax Q3+ tires with week codes 1717 and 1817 are affected. • No other Q3+ size, or 120/70ZR17 with an alternate date code, is affected. • If you have a tire that has been recalled, please contact Dunlop directly at 800-845-8378 or consumeraffairs@dunlopmotorcycletires.com with the subject line 120 Q3+. Dunlop will arrange for a replacement of this tire. If you have any additional questions or concerns regarding this recall, please let us know!

Got the first 150 miles on the Q3+, for hauling ass way better than the M7RR, actually the best tire i had on the 8 for the fun stuff so far. After 20 miles scrubbing in i was already able to push her hard....not once did i have a tire sliding.
By the way, the M7RR doesn't seem to like Counteract balancing beads, half of the stuff was stuck to the wall. Use the Counteract stuff since i have the 8, and never had this prob before.

Have now 2000 miles hard riding on the Q3+, and 2.3mm until wear bars (new around 5.5mm). Maybe another 1000 miles and they are shoot. Besides of max mileage, best tires with the most grip i ever had !
