Started the new year off right. Day trip to the adirondacks Up at 3am, 300 mile drive, 5 hr hike, 300 mile drive back. Long ass day, but worth every second thanks to perfect conditions. Shitty cell pics will have to do, didn't drag the real cam along  It's gets cold up top(that's a tree)    The last two pics are unbelievable. What kind of "real" camera do you have? I have a ruddy Nikon D3200 basic dslr |

The last two pics are unbelievable. What kind of "real" camera do you have? I have a ruddy Nikon D3200 basic dslr I've got a Sony rx100, first gen. Nothing crazy but it is far better than the phone in most situations. Didn't bother to bring it along since I didn't know how it would do in the cold and I wasn't sure if I'd even want to be messing with it with cold hands. Point and shoot is easy and back in the pocket quickly so I can get gloves back on. |

This is why quality gloves are so important. 115mph getoff. Not a scratch on my paws.  This wasn't from a recent crash are they? Are these your crashed in the rain gloves? |

Holy hell! Were there any symptoms leading up to the meltdown? That is a catastrophic clusterfuck to say the least. Priced one from Babbits.... $345.15. Ouch. How much of any of it is salvageable? The guts can be found 49.00 - 189.00 on egay. The only symptom was a howling noise a few days earlier but I at the time I wasn't sure if it was imaginary or not. Got a sena for Christmas and was listening to the new Metallica at the time... lol. I don't know how common of a problem it is but Yamaha has changed the design of the rotor to prevent this. 
I found one on amazon for $370 with prime shipping. The stator may actually be salvageable, it ohms out good and visibly looks ok. |

Fractured a rib snowboarding last week, so no fun adventures for a bit. Did get out for a very foggy hike this morning though at my local park. Really cool seeing it in these conditions. And, the geese are still around. Bastards never leave.   |
