So I had an FZ8 that I had sunk some coin in and loved. Sold it and now need a new steed. Thinking about going with a cruiser as I don't care about getting crazy at this point in my life. My boy DJ hates Harley but there are 2 in consideration the Breakout and the Roadster. Also looking at Yamaha Stryer and Honda. Time will tell. Also waiting to see how some things play out at work as it might affect the budget in a positive way.

Don't do it to yourself! There's tons of way to wind it back a notch or two without going that far the wrong way...unless you're hell bent on chaps and pretend patches lol

I test rode the victory octane over the summer, pretty ballsy bike for a cruiser.
Build quality was mediocre, but the engine was pretty damn solid. Could be an option if you don't want to settle for putting around.

Put a set of Vance and Hines on it and it sounds sweet without being obnoxious.

I want a bike with attitude but not a rocket built for the twisties. Also find myself liking cruisers more lately. The HD Roadster is kind of a in between choice. It has received great reviews for riding in town and in the twisties. I still love the idea of a bike similar to the 8. I'm just not digging the options. I love the FZ10 but it's more bike than I want. If I find a good standard bike that would be cool as well. While writing this the Honda CB1100 popped into mind. I could mod that to an appropriate bike for my liking rather easy.

Haven't ridden one, but that diavel sounds nasty with an exhaust. I could see myself having one as a back up to a reliable daily....

Ducati Diavel - that's a kinda in betweener for a girl that cant ride two strokes I guess. It is a semi truck with 16 less wheels.... just cant like them. I see them again every weekend and cant get past the bulk and ugly. Ride what makes you happy. I see you on a nicely moderized KZ1000 in full Lawson regalia..... just planting the seed.... raresportbikesforsale.com/tag/eddie-lawson-replica/badass option has the same appeal as the cb1100

Local bike shop has one of these. They're asking $5000 and it has under 7000 miles on it.

Before you invest in the CB, do a ton of reading. The bike has several short comings, Power, suspension, brakes. Maybe an expensive option. I think the FZ-07 makes almost as much power as the CB. Have you set a dollar limit on what you want to spend?
