I Currently have a 2004 Ram 2500 Cummins turbo diesel, which sits around 700HP with the current tuning (can be cranked up to a little over 900HP).
Right now I'm just saving up to rebuild the engine with billet bottom end components, get the head redone and special modifications done to it. In the end, I'm shooting for 1100-1200HP and converting to an Auto, from a 6 speed (which I love and spent months finding, but for racing purposes, auto it is).
I'll get pics tomorrow maybe if anyone is interested. You can't tell from looking at it, that it'll put some cars to shame on the highway. And some have figured that out the hard way Lol.

Sorry for the wait guys, been kinda busy. And I'm trying to not drive her as she's got more blow by than I'd like, which isn't a lot really but I don't wanna take the chance because I can't keep my foot out of her. Most of the magic is inside the block. ARP625+ headstuds, Hamilton cams valve springs and retainers, Hamilton cams extreme duty pushrods, S&S 150% over injectors, PPE dual CP3 kit, Fleece CP3K bottom injection pump, Duramax Upper injection pump, Valair Street Triple disk clutch, steed speed T4 manifold, Borg warner S369sxe T4 .91 non gated turbo (50-55 psi depending on climate at the time), tuning through Firepunk Diesel. And the ability to spin 5K rpms lol

I may haul little stuff, but this isn't going to be geared towards hauling. This'll be a full on race truck. Going full manual valve body auto. Hood stack, compound turbos, fully built billet bottom end and custom head.

Fucking beast mate! Love it, thanks for the pics...keep us in the loop. June it looks like (if finances stay on track) I'll be able to drop a new built block in her. A whopping $17K for a built 5.9L Cummins long block (no accessories, air, or fuel) (done right at least.) You can find them cheaper, but with less proven parts. And yes it'll be cash cause I'm not paying the outrageous interest rates for personal loans Lol.

Didn't have the luck I thought I had. So after giving that raise, they came back yesterday and cut a bunch of people's hours, myself included, by 10 hours a week. They said since we have more hourly pay, we don't need as many hours... Well now I'm making almost $6K less a year thanks to their thought process. I asked if I could have my old hourly rate back and my hours, they said nope. Awesome.

This countries "wage: hour: inflated productivity % per hour bullshit needs to end. The mentality that by raising minimum wages across the country that those of us who wont and often get pay cuts have now slid backward closer to widespread poverty. On the other side of the fence, it keeps getting rosier.
Find something good in it if possible. Often times, time is more valuable than cash.
Chins up gents! DG

I wouldn't be so irked if I wasn't trying to get the engine done ASAP. Lol but nothing I can do except go along with it until I'm fully vested in my 401K so I don't lose that. Then a possible job hunt after that. Maybe by then, after summer time has come along and trucks are breaking down left and right (as they do every summer because of the increased productivity.) They'll rethink it.

Looking about like a month before I drop off the truck to get the engine built and put in. I'm overly excited and ready to be able to spin 5000+rpm without worry, that and go to mexico to make some money if you know what I'm saying.

Truck was dropped off today for the engine build to start. Then I rode 6 hours home on the FZ8

So the truck has been dropped off and the engine build has begun.
I've been thinking of selling the FZ8 and getting another cruiser. Either a shadow 1100 or another larger Honda cruiser. I do a lot of highway miles and yeah the 8 could do just fine, but I tend to find myself doing things that could cost me work time, which could lead to me losing my job if I got hurt too bad.
Belt drive turns me off, FI isn't a requirement, shaft or chain driven. Not super old either. What do you guys suggest?
