Guess I will start this here. It is a 4x9 special construction trailer, has four jack legs that can level it but the adjusters are seized at the moment Picked up last weekend from my former boss Tonight I pulled off all the old decking, Dot tape, knocked off the tail light bracket and pulled off all of the lights. I think I will be buying a new wiring harness but that will be determined when I go to wire everything back up. I also cleaned the tool box and sprayed it with bed liner on the inside. I vacuumed and then wire brushed and vacuumed again to get most of the crud off as I plan to use a bed liner paint and do a flat black to get rid of the the McDonald colors. Dot Tape is a bitch when its dry and sun baked on for a few years I have ordered the tail light kit below and 10 marker lights as well as I want this very visible at night. 10 of these. Once all the lights are installed I plan to add three, 4 inch LED work lights on the back side of the tool box so I can unload the gear and bike in the dark on Friday nights or work on the bike at the track if I need to.

Pick up the lumber, new carridge bolts, and solder marine connectos tonight , chose to go with 2x6's but with the actually dimensions being a little smaller I need to go pick up a 2x4 tomorrow for the center section

Tail/ stop lights came in today and the solder but connectors. I still need to get another 2x6 and rip it down to 5 1/4 to fit in the middle. Marker lights will in tomorrow after work so my plan is wired them up drill and mount the boards, then take the trailer for a good power wash. Not sure which way I want to mount the tail lights, here they are even with the angle cut on the trailer second option is to overhand them

Option 1 looks better and less likely to catch on something

Does that trailer have a full axle? Is it on leaf springs? There is almost no clearance between the tire and fender unloaded.

Can you mount it from the side onto that one small flat section? It'll overhang without looking crappy, and you can not have any issues with sight lines to the leds.

It has a torsion axle, I may reclock them but as of right now it barley moves with even 1000 lbs on it and it rides really well. Today I mounted the lights up using 2 15mm flat head bolts with a washer and locking washer on the underside, they are solid as shit now. Tested lights and everything worked except brake brakes, scratched my head a little bit and realized the trucks didnt work either. Pull the brake light switch under the dash apart and its part copper and part aluminum. Contacts had burned no longer making connections, few minutes with a demal and all was good to go again.

Those torsion axles are nice, they act more like an independent suspension. My boat trailer is setup with them and I have never had any issues in more than 15 years. If there is a square flange on the back side of the spindle then you could mount brakes to the trailer if you desired.

Got the center board today and finished bolting it down with stainless carriage bolts. learned a little trick from trick to keep the bolt from spinning from an amish kid Modified the harbor freight ramps to fit the angle of the trailer. Ended the day with taking the kids to petco

I didnt want to mount them there because I plan to use the stabilizer feet that came with the trailer. I need to cut the pads off the rear feet so I can drop then in from the top then drill and tap them.

Finished up the install on the pitbull stand today, and dragged the bike to go get coffee. Diamond plating is somewhat fucked and I think I will pull it off and have it powder coated.

Quite a nice rig you pulled together. Kudos on the enginuity and clean work. Now get that bike on the tarmac.... Best, Dennis 4 long more painful months until its time here but I am looking forward to it. I have sent out the tool box to be powder coated gloss black to match my truck and order the U-pol Rapter bed liner kit to spray the trailer when I get some bay time come January.
