Thats not how this works. ... and technically I have the first crash of the season..albeit on the road... the 8 rides again this weekend. The RZ starts the final assembly now that all but countershaft sprocket and rear sprocket are here. Those bits have to wait until the engine is in the cradle so I can measure and get the correct primary offset (+5 - 8 mm) May meed to shave the rear sprocket carrier a bit as well. Got to be all lined up. No crashing boys! fuck theres always next year for me... How could i forget You could still try to break my record of crashes/idiotic drops in a year? Plenty of opportunities for that one.

The day started off well but ended half way through with a ton on rain. Pace about 8 seconds off last time I was there but I only had 5 runs on a completely different set up. Overall not very happy with my riding and I need to put together some solid weekends at the same track to get back up to speed and get comfortable with the bike.

Sprayed the trailer in bed liner this weekend outside while it was nice but ran out of time to paint the tool box. Picked up some 3m flat enamel spray for that tonight. It was raining but warm enough inside to paint. Ill have better pics this weekend when I bring the trailer down to my friends house to mount both bikes. Also at the end of May Ill be driving up to Boston to pick up an 2004 MT45 with a 6.0 to turn into a motovan.

Finally got both pitbull stands installed and both my buddies R1 and the R6 now fit but I need to wire up a trailer plate light and plate bracket.

Looking awesome.
Do you ever have occasion to have to camp with your bikes? (Yes, I used to sleep in a van with fuel and motorcycles at the teack).
I ask because there are a lot of tent mods for trailers. Where you use the trailer to act as a portion on the structure... pretty cool.

Picked up and went to NJMP for a track day today. Ended up being 60 and raining, track had a stream across 3 parts in some sections even when the race line drying up. Managed to pick up pace even with the weather and get some heat into the tires. 2 sessions after lunch I came of turn ten onto the straight at 90 WOT in 4th and the rear stepped out about 2 feet, by being smooth on the throttle i was able to get it back in line. I made two more laps and then called it quits for that session as I couldnt get it out of my head. All in all a good day, NYST track up next and then VIR follow month.

Well done. Anytime you can step it out and bring it back is a great save. All that practice being smooth has obviously paid off.

Video below shows track conditions and what fatigue can do to you as a rider. Guy riding is a AMA racer on a stock R3, turn 7 I head in and downshift like I had been all day due to keeping it in third gear because of the rain, except last lap i decided to up the pace and go into in second which meant i downshifted to 1st and killed all momentum. He passes and so does the other guy on a race R6.
Watch until the end and you will see how slipper the track really was.

fatigue can get us all. i am a fan of doing burpees as they are a full body excercise. really helps withall your riding strength and stamina.

Dennis Ran 3rd gear in all corners due to rain and felt really good the last 3 laps starting pacing speed to warrant 2nd gear. Got the corner hit the shifter and I knew as I was downshifting it wasn't right and then that happened .
